Hacked website cleanup and malware removal in South Florida
Your site is redirecting people somewhere shady, or Google is warning visitors to stay away. Take a breath: we can assess the damage, explain your cleanup options, and this page tells you what to do in the next hour.

Signs your site may be compromised
Some compromises have few visible signs. The damage often sits where you rarely look: in search results, in pages that only appear on phones, or in files a casual check never opens.
Any of these signs warrants investigation. You do not need to confirm all of them, or even confirm one for certain, before picking up the phone.
- Your site redirects visitors to strange pages, sometimes only on phones
- Google shows spam pages or nonsense words under your domain
- Admin users appear in WordPress that you did not create
- Browsers flash a red warning before your homepage loads
- Your host suspends the account or emails you about malware
- Customers say your site took them somewhere else
What to do right now
The wrong first move can slow down a proper cleanup. Do these things, in this order, before anything else.
If your host already suspended the account, leave it alone. Do not restore an old backup on your own: backups may contain malware or vulnerable software and need checking before they are useful.
- Do not panic delete files, posts, or the whole site
- Change every password: hosting, WordPress admin, FTP, database
- Screenshot anything strange so we see what you saw
- Call 844-310-9720 before you touch anything else
What our cleanup covers
Deleting the obvious spam is the easy part. The harder work is figuring out how they got in, because an unresolved vulnerability can allow reinfection.
We also hunt for backdoors: hidden ways to regain access, including malicious code planted in your files or unauthorized accounts left behind.
- Remove injected code, spam pages, and hidden backdoors
- Investigate possible entry points and address identified vulnerabilities
- Restore clean copies of damaged files
- Request a Google review if your site was flagged
- Harden logins, updates, user accounts, and file permissions
We clean a copy, not your live site
We do not experiment on your live website. We take a copy, do the full cleanup there, and test the cleaned copy before shipping it to live.
We do the cleanup work on a copy wherever we can, so your live site is touched as little as possible. The switch to the cleaned version happens only after testing, and we walk you through what changed in plain English.
The honest part
No one can promise a site stays clean forever. Permanent security is not something anyone can honestly sell you.
What actually lowers your risk is boring: address the vulnerabilities found during cleanup, keep software updated, use strong passwords, and know who to call when something looks off. Updates and account security need ongoing attention. Our maintenance plans cover that if you want it handled, and we say so up front instead of pretending a one-time fix is enough.
Who you are calling
SoFlo Web Services is part of J.M. Field, a Fort Lauderdale company serving South Florida businesses since 1993. We work on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom sites built by anyone.
You get plain English and straight answers, with no scare tactics. If it turns out not to be a hack, we will tell you that too.
Questions
How did this happen to my site?
Possible causes include compromised passwords and vulnerable plugins or themes, often in software that has not been updated. There is no way to know for sure without investigation, which is part of the cleanup.
Will Google remove the warning once the site is clean?
After cleanup, we request a review from Google. Google rechecks the site and decides whether to lift the warning. We handle the request for you and tell you what comes back.
Can you promise it will stay clean afterward?
No. Permanent security is not a promise anyone can honestly make. What lowers your risk is addressing the entry points found during cleanup, keeping software updated, and calling fast the moment something looks wrong.
Can I just restore a backup instead of a cleanup?
Risky. A backup made after the break-in may contain malware, and even an older backup may include the vulnerable software that let them in. Clean first, address the cause, and backups become useful again.
My developer disappeared. Can you still help?
Yes. We work on custom sites built by anyone, plus WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce. The access we need depends on your platform and the problem, and we will tell you exactly what that is before work starts.
