New websites built for speed in South Florida

Some sites cannot be saved by another patch, another plugin, another tune up. When the foundation is the problem, we build new: lean code, hosting chosen on purpose where the platform allows it, and speed treated as part of the build instead of a bolt on.

When a rebuild beats a repair

Repairs make sense when the bones are good. A slow plugin, a heavy theme, a cluttered database: those are repairs. But if your site was built years ago on a theme that was never meant to do what you ask of it now, every fix lands on a weak foundation, and repeated repairs may make a rebuild worth considering.

Here is the honest test. If the fix list keeps growing, if every update breaks something else, if the bills keep climbing while the site stays slow, you are paying to stand still. A rebuild may address structural problems that repairs leave unresolved.

  • Every update breaks something else
  • Pages stay slow no matter what gets fixed
  • Simple edits need a developer every time
  • The mobile version is a shrunken desktop site
  • Your theme was built for a business you no longer run

Built fast from the first line

Speed is not a bolt on. It is a decision made on the first line of code. We build lean: no page builder stacking junk on junk, no plugin pile doing the job of one tool, no theme loaded with features you will never touch.

Hosting matters too, and it depends on the platform. Where hosting is configurable, we assess the options and size them for your real traffic. Shopify manages its own hosting, so there the speed work is in the theme, the images, and the apps. Either way we test the way your customers browse: on a throttled mobile connection, the kind a phone gets in a parking lot, not a fiber line in our office.

We rebuilt our own site first

We do not ask you to buy theory. SoFlo Web Services is part of J.M. Field, a Fort Lauderdale company serving South Florida businesses since 1993, and our own site sat on an old WordPress build where the main content showed at 10.8 seconds on a throttled mobile connection.

So we rebuilt it the way we would rebuild yours. Same test, same connection, lab run on 2026-10-09: the main content now shows at 1.2 seconds. Those results describe the J.M. Field rebuild under those test conditions, and they are why we test every build on a throttled connection before it ships.

Straightforward editing, search setup included

A fast site you cannot edit is a trap with good loading times. We build with straightforward editing in mind: changing text, swapping photos, and adding pages should not require a developer for every comma. WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, or a custom build: we match the platform to how you actually work, not the other way around.

Search setup is part of the build, not an extra line item: clean structure, proper headings, and a mobile layout that treats thumbs like first class citizens. Speed is one factor in search, not a magic lever, and we do not promise rankings. What we control is the technical side, a site search engines can crawl, read, and load.

How a build goes

First we look at what you have. If a repair can do the job, we tell you that and quote the repair. If a rebuild is the smarter spend, you get a plain quote, a plain plan, and a timeline in English.

We build on a copy first, not on your live site. The new site takes shape on a private link while your current site stays out of the work. You review on your phone, from your office, from airport wifi. When you say go, we ship to live.

  • Lean code with no page builder bloat
  • Hosting assessment where the platform allows it; Shopify manages its hosting
  • Mobile first build, tested on a throttled connection
  • Editing built for your team's day to day changes
  • Search setup built into the structure
  • Copy first process, live site untouched until launch

Questions

How do I know if I need a rebuild or a repair?

Start with the free speed audit. We send you the 3 slowest pages and what is slowing each one, within one business day. If a repair makes sense, we say so. If the foundation is the problem, we show you why and quote the rebuild in plain English.

Will a rebuild hurt my Google rankings?

A rebuild can affect rankings, in either direction. URL changes, content changes, and redirects need careful planning, so we map your existing addresses and plan the switch before anything ships. Speed is one factor in search, and we do not promise rankings.

Can my team update the site after launch?

That is the plan. We build on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, or a custom setup with straightforward editing for day to day changes, and we walk your team through it before handover.

My site was built by someone else. Can you take it over?

Yes. We work on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom sites built by anyone. If a repair is the right call, we repair it. If a rebuild makes more sense, we tell you exactly why.

What happens to my current site during the build?

We build on a copy first, then ship to live after you approve the new site. The work happens on a private link; your current site is not part of the build.
