Website speed optimization for South Florida businesses

Slow pages can make your site harder to use. Our page speed optimization service finds what is dragging your pages down and fixes it on a copy of your site before anything goes live.

Why Slow Sites Cost You

A visitor taps your link and gets a blank screen instead of your business. A long wait can discourage them. If you run ads, you paid for that click, and a slow page can burn it before your content even shows.

The causes are usually boring, not exotic. Oversized photos. Scripts loading where they are not needed. Plugins that fight each other. Hosting that crawls. The fix starts with finding which ones are yours, and that is what the audit does.

What We Actually Fix

Speed problems stack up. One heavy photo is annoying on its own. Add a chat widget, a slider, and three tracking tags, and your page crawls. We go through the pile piece by piece.

  • Images: we resize and compress them, and use lazy loading for suitable images farther down the page.
  • Scripts: themes and plugins often load files on pages that do not need them. We trim, defer, and remove.
  • Fonts: fewer font files, loaded in a way that keeps text visible without flashing or jumping.
  • Caching and hosting: pages get served from a stored copy instead of being rebuilt from scratch on every visit.
  • Third-party tags: pixels, chat bubbles, and embeds get audited so one slow tool does not drag down every page.
  • Layout shift: we reserve space for images and banners so buttons stop moving right as someone reaches for them.

How the Work Goes

It starts with the free speed audit. You get your 3 slowest pages and exactly what is slowing each one, within one business day. Plain English, page by page, no jargon storm.

Then we fix. All work happens on a copy of your site, so your live site keeps running while we work. You review the faster version on a private link, and nothing ships until you say so.

After you approve, we push the changes live. We test on a throttled mobile connection throughout, because it shows problems a fast office line hides.

Core Web Vitals in Plain English

Google grades sites with three measures called Core Web Vitals. LCP, Largest Contentful Paint, is when the largest visible image or text block appears. INP, Interaction to Next Paint, is how long the page takes to visibly respond to taps, clicks and key presses, judged on one of the slowest interactions of the visit. CLS, Cumulative Layout Shift, scores how much the page unexpectedly moves around, during and after loading. In plain terms: does it show up fast, does it respond fast, does it hold still.

Passing is based on real visits, not one lab run. Google judges each metric at the 75th percentile of real visits, mobile and desktop separately, using field data from Chrome users over a rolling 28-day window. INP also needs people to actually tap and click before it shows up. That is why a rebuilt page on the same URL can keep its old field data for a while, and a brand new page needs enough real visits before any data appears.

We use throttled lab tests to measure our work, because lab numbers move the day we ship. Here is our own proof. The old J.M. Field WordPress site showed its main content at 10.8 seconds on a test like this. Our rebuild showed 1.2 seconds. Same throttled mobile connection, same lab setup, tested October 9, 2026.

WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, or Custom

We work on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom sites built by anyone. Whoever built yours, we can work with it. Each platform has its own speed traps, so for the platform specifics, see our WordPress speed optimization page and our Shopify speed optimization page.

Questions

How do I know if my site is too slow?

Open it on your phone using cellular data, not office WiFi. Watch how long the main content takes and whether elements jump while you scroll. A controlled test can help identify delays. The free audit names your 3 slowest pages and what is slowing each one, within one business day.

Will speed work change how my site looks?

It can. Some fixes are invisible, but others may involve visible changes, such as swapping heavy images or simplifying a slider. We assess the options with you before choosing a fix, and everything is tested on a copy first.

What if my site was built by someone else?

Fine with us. We work on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom sites built by anyone. We start with the audit, work on a copy, and only ship to live after you approve it.

How much does website speed optimization cost?

The audit is free. After that, the price depends on what the audit finds, and you see the full scope before any paid work starts. Some sites need a tune-up. Some need deeper work. You will know which one you have before you spend anything.

Will a faster site fix my Google rankings?

Speed is one factor in search, nothing more. Faster loading can reduce waiting, but it does not promise sales. And because Google grades speed on real visits over a rolling 28-day window, field scores take time to catch up after a rebuild.
